Playography is a personal gaming-vault service. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use Playography, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
I tried to keep this understandable instead of turning it into a wall of legal language.
Depending on how you use the service, Playography may process:
Playography is not intended to collect the contents of private vaults simply because a page was viewed.
Information is used to operate your vault, authenticate your logins, provide sharing features (if you turn them on), trigger achievements, fix bugs, and generally keep Playography running smoothly. Analytics are used strictly to improve the app, not for targeted advertising profiling.
Your vault is private by default. When you generate and share a public vault link, the information inside that vault can be viewed by anyone with the link. Do not include information in a public vault that you would not want other people to see.
Playography relies on third-party infrastructure (like Google Firebase for the database/auth, and Cloudflare for hosting/analytics) to operate. These providers process information according to their own terms and security policies.
You have full control. You can delete games, wipe your lists, or request account deletion at any time. Guest data is wiped automatically when you close the session.

You may use Playography for your own personal, lawful use. Please don't use Playography to:
Your game library, reviews, ratings, and content remain yours. You give Playography permission to store and process that information to provide the service. Playography is not a replacement for your own backup; please use the export features to keep a copy of your data.
You are responsible for the content you add to Playography. You must not upload content that is illegal, malicious, abusive, or infringes on another person's rights. We may remove content or restrict an account to protect users or the service.
Playography is provided "as is". We will try to keep the service reliable and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly secure against all threats.
The Playography name, original interface design, and original code belong to Playography. Third-party materials (like official game covers or names) remain the property of their respective publishers.
The Story Behind The Vault
Playography actually started with me wanting something pretty simple, I wanted to track my games. (mind shocking ik 😁)
I'm M7, by the way. 👋
So I went looking for a website that could do it. I found a couple, but smth felt missing. They worked, sure, but they didn't really feel personal. There wasn't much customization, and that default gray bg always there, and most of them felt more like a database or a spreadsheet with a nicer interface.
And eventually I thought:
“Why don't I just build one myself?”
So I did.
At first, Playography was nothing more than a simple little interface I was making for myself. I wasn't thinking about launching it, building a community, or doing anything huge with it. I just wanted something that felt like my way of keeping track of my games.
But then I kept adding things.
And then more things.
And you guessed it, EVEN MORE. 😭
And somehow, that tiny project started becoming something I was genuinely proud of.
At some point, I stopped thinking of it as just a project for myself.
I started thinking about how much nicer it would be if every person could make their own vault feel personal. So I added more customization, more ways to organize games, achievements and easter eggs, little details to discover, and features that would make the experience feel less like managing a spreadsheet and more like having your own gaming space.
I saw people online complaining about the existing options and how the same few platforms seemed to dominate the space. And I thought:
“Why wouldn't I give this to the world?”
If I had already built something I genuinely enjoyed using, maybe someone else would enjoy it too. Maybe I could make something that was actually useful to people.
That's when Playography became a much bigger project.
I had to build the parts that nobody really sees. Databases, accounts, authentication, security, privacy, sharing, and everything else needed to make sure people's vaults were actually protected.
And honestly, that part took a lot.
I spent days working on it for hours at a time, especially making sure that one user's information couldn't simply be seen by someone else. It wasn't the flashy part of the project, but it was one of the parts I cared about the most.
Eventually, I finally deployed it.
And then came one of my favorite moments.
I showed Playography to my friends for the first time.
Seeing them actually use it and, more importantly, seeing that they found it genuinely useful made me ridiculously happy. It was the first time I really felt like this thing I'd been building alone could actually mean something to someone else.
That's what pushed me to keep going.
The achievements, easter eggs, customization, little interactions, and all the other features you see today came from that same idea: I don't want Playography to feel like a spreadsheet.
I want every person's vault to feel like their own little corner of gaming.
And I felt the struggle of having to copy everything into a spreadsheet just to get it online, so currently I'm working on making it possible to import your games from your spreadsheet or even from other websites. (Might already be added while you're reading this 👀)
And I'm not finished.
I'm planning to keep building, improving, experimenting, and adding new things for as long as I can. Some ideas will probably be great. Some will probably be questionable. 😭 But that's part of the fun.
Playography started because I wanted something better for myself.
Then it became something I wanted to share.
And now, every time someone sends me a thanks letter, gives me some genuinely helpful feedback, or simply tells me they found the site useful, it reminds me why I decided to put it out there in the first place.
And if Playography ever becomes something you really enjoy and you feel like supporting what I'm building, there's a little donation button around the site. You absolutely don't have to, having you here and using the vault already means a lot to me. ❤️
Thank you for being here. Seriously.
This started as a little project for one person.
I'm really happy it didn't stay that way. ❤️

I want this vault to stay a simple, comfortable place for gamers to keep track of their games. Your library is yours , and I want you to feel comfortable using the site without worrying about your information being thrown around.
I don't use ads , tracking , or anything beyond what's needed for the vault to work. Your library is private by default too, and it only becomes shareable when you choose to create a Vault Link and send it to ur friend (via the share icon on the top right) .
Most importantly, thank you for being here . I'm just one person building this thing, and every person who actually uses the vault makes all the work behind it feel worth it. ❤️
I built this for people who love games , so let's keep it that way. Please treat other players with respect , don't abuse the site, and help me keep the vault a fun little corner of the internet . and just a reminder: the website is still in early acess so, you might encounter bugs at times. but you can always contact me via the contact feature and i will try to fix it as soon as i can, thanks players 🤍 . 🎮
